Finland vs Estonia Prediction & Betting Tips

  • Key Stat

Key Stat: The last three matches, and four of the last five, contested between these sides has ended with both teams failing to register a goal.

  • Expert Verdict

Expert Verdict: It's been a good run recently for Finland, only losing once in the past year, and that run looks like it should be rolling on here when they face off against Estonia in this Nations League affair. Finland saw off close-rated Hungary, and Estonia aren't quite as good as them. Provided Finland can find the back of the net against what should be a staunch rearguard, the Finns should take three points.

Finland vs Estonia Betting Tips and Odds

Bet365 have the following odds available for this match:

Finland are at 4/6 to win, a draw is at 5/2, and an Estonia win is at 9/2.

Finland and Estonia each will enter the Nations League in a hopeful spirit. Finland did not have a very good time in qualifying last for the World Cup, and they'll hope this competition could possibly help them make it to the European Championship next go-around. They ended up fifth in their group, albeit a very, very tough one, and they will be hopeful of at least contending for the top two in this group now.

In the past year, Finland have five wins, three draws, and one loss. Things have been looked up for them, to be sure, but it must be said that with the exception of the draws with Croatia and Turkey, they haven't played the top tier of teams. That should still give them some confidence coming into this group.

Estonia are perhaps one of the unluckier teams in this Nations League setup. It's supposed to be about pitting equal teams, but Estonia and Greece still looks a little lopsided. So it would be a major shock to see them win this group, even if others played weaker sides. They did finish in fourth in qualifiying, but that was in a group where Gibraltar scored none, inflating everyone's totals.

Estonia have played a lot of matches in the past year, with many of the games coming against less teams in various competitions. They have five wins, three draws, and six losses in those games. They have only one victory in their past eight matches, so that is a major concern.

So far Group 2 of League C has Finland and Greece each on three points at the top. Estonia and Hungary are trailing and need to pick up points to not fall out of it already.

Ladbrokes has 4/7 odds for both teams not to score.

Betfair has a 2-0 Finland win at 5.5.

Finland vs Estonia Prediction

Finland and Hungary are widely viewed as the two that are competing to be the main competition to the Greeks in the group, and after seeing off Hungary, Finland should be plenty capable of winning at home against Estonia.

Predicted Scoreline: Finland 2-0 Estonia
